Post-natal visual development in human. Thesis for a post-graduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) Degree from the University of Sheffield, UK, October 1983. The thesis contains 323 pages and over 600 references. It summarises the literature on the sensitive period in visual development in humans and animals prior to that date, along with the author research project on the sensitivity to occlusion therapy in patients with strabismic amblyopia. External vs Internal Evolution: an article regarding the effects of computers and artificial intelligence (AI) on mankind. Submitted to Nature and Ratio magazines in 1984 (over 30 years ago) but was not published. It gives an illumination insight on the possible effects of the computer age on the human development. The article is uploaded as submitted and it may require some editing but the core discussions and arguments presented are very much valid today with the advancements in IA and robotics.
